The training course of the FERONIA research project was held on January 24, 2025, at the Agricultural University of Athens. The event aimed to exchange knowledge and enhance skills related to the scientific and technological aspects of the FERONIA project.

The training course brought together project partners, academics, and researchers in the field of food technology, microbial fermentation, animal nutrition, and green biotechnology. Through a series of thematic presentations and specialized training sessions, participants gained in-depth insights into the objectives, methodologies, and applications of FERONIA.

Key topics included expert lectures on the sustainable valorization of orange processing waste, focusing on solid-state fermentation with specialized microbial inocula, and their application in the growth of plant protective agents, animal feeding, production of hydrolytic enzymes, and biodegradation of postharvest fungicides. The training course fostered interdisciplinary dialogue, hands-on training, and active engagement of stakeholders.
